Our Founder
Magnus Renfrew is a cultural entrepreneur with over 20 years’ experience across different sectors of the international art world ranging from museum to commercial gallery, auction house to art fair, non-profit institutions to cultural policy. Renfrew served as founding director of ART HK: Hong Kong International Art Fair from 2007-2012 and Art Basel in Hong Kong from 2012-2014 during which time he served as one of four members of the Executive Committee of Art Basel globally.
The fair has been credited with repositioning Hong Kong as the center of the contemporary art market in Asia. Renfrew’s contribution has been recognised by international art media and has regularly appeared in the Power 100 lists of ART + AUCTION, ART REVIEW and Le Journal des Arts as one of the 100 most influential figures in the art world.
In 2013 Renfrew was honoured by the World Economic Forum as a Young Global Leader.
